Target Universities
Detailed breakdown for each Florida school. Use Common App for all four.
Use Common App for all four schools. UF requires it; FSU strongly prefers it; UCF recommends it; USF accepts it.
Write the best version of every essay (personal statement + all supplementals) — UCF has 3 optional 250w essays that all strong applicants should complete.
In addition to Common App, complete the separate self-reporting portals: STARS for UF and FSU, and SPARK for UCF. These are required steps beyond submitting the Common App.
FSU also requests a resume upload — build a clean, one-page academic resume with AP courses, honors, activities, and tennis achievements.
AP Course Plan
8 completed, 4 planned for senior year. Capstone diploma on track.
Keep Psych if: Considering social sciences, pre-med (MCAT has psych section), or education.
Swap for CS A if: Interested in engineering, CS, or any tech field. CS A signals computational thinking.
Swap for Physics 1 if: Pre-med, engineering, or physical sciences. Balances the STEM narrative.
Decide before August course selection deadline.
